Council on Aging in Union County can install Medical Alert Buttons at no cost to seniors living in Union County, North Carolina. Council on Aging provides and installs a personal emergency response system (PERS) that does not have a monthly fee which makes an affordable option to keep seniors on a limited fixed income safe in their homes. Devices include a pendant button that when pressed, will call 911. This device allows isolated seniors reduce fears of being isolated in their homes. To receive a PERS, the recipient must be at least 60 years old and reside in Union County, North Carolina.
