Avoiding Scams & Fraud
Knowledge is the best way to arm yourself against scams and schemes including financial exploitation, fake check schemes, home repair/improvement scams, identity theft, investment schemes, Medicare and other insurance fraud, sweepstakes scams and many others.
Kim Henderson, Director of Consumer Education Programs with the Better Business Bureau, will discuss scams and provide techniques to avoid becoming the target or victim of dishonest business practices.
All seniors are welcome to join us to learn and socialize at our educational or informational programs. Bring a friend or come and make new friends. There is no cost and registration is not required. You do not have to be a member of the church or meeting site to attend. There is an optional covered dish lunch following the presentation.
