The Basics of Memory Loss & Effective Communication Strategies Seminar

June 22 at 1:30 pm - 4:00 pm

Join us for the Basics of Memory Loss, Alzheimer’s & Dementia & Effective Communication Strategies.  This free community education event is presented by Council on Aging in Union County and the Alzheimer’s Association Western Carolina Chapter.

Alzheimer’s disease is not a normal part of aging.  If you or someone you know is experiencing memory loss or behavioral changes, it’s time to learn the facts.  This program provides information on:

  • Symptoms
  • Causes & Risk Factors
  • Stages of the Disease
  • Treatment
  • Ways the Alzheimer’s Association can help
  • Decoding messages through attitude, tone of voice, facial expressions & body language.

For caregivers learning how to effectively communicate can help both parties to connect and communicate in meaningful ways.

RSVP by calling Council on Aging @ 704-292-1797.
