The Monroe Fire Department is hosting a free program for seniors to learn how to use fire extinguishers on May 30th, at 11:30am at the Monroe Fire Station #4, 3907 Old Charlotte Highway in Monroe. Firefighters will discuss the types of fire extinguishers and give a live demonstration of how to safely put out a fire. You will have an opportunity to use a fire extinguisher to ensure you know how to properly put out a fire. After the program and lunch, there will be a tour of the fire station and fire trucks.
