  • Council on Aging is opening Next Door, our new Adult Day Program. This program is designed to care for those that may have memory loss and is an opportunity to give caregivers some much needed time off. The Program will be offered at our new location on Lydia Street in Monroe, adjacent to our main offices. We are currently asking for community support to help fund the renovation of this building and to assist in purchasing the needed furniture and equipment. If you would like to support this program, please contact our office.

  • We loan out iPads loaded with a person’s favorite music, games, family pictures, and most importantly a personalized story book. We create digital, interactive, life storybooks for individuals with memory loss. These iPads facilitate an opportunity to reminisce about yesterday’s memories as well as providing some respite time for the family caregiver.
